A book has recently been published (by Russ Buettner) about the former President, DT. It is entitled Lucky Loser, all about how DT squandered his father’s fortune and created the illusion of success. Exactly what one would expect from the greatest conman of all time!
At the Texas Tribune Festival held in Austin recently, the famous lawyer George Conway reinforced the notion embodied in the book title. Conway was referencing one of DT’s many legal woes, the Florida case where he was charged with illegally withholding government documents. Many Top Secret files were stored in one of his bathrooms in Mira Lago.
In litigation, “things don’t always go the way you expect. He got very, very lucky in that Florida case. Very lucky, literally 1 in 600. There probably wasn’t another federal judge in the country who would have cut him the kind of slack she has cut him in that case [referring to Judge Cannon, who was appointed by DT]. But that said, it could come to an end pretty soon.”
In a conversation on stage, he was asked if the future Pres. Harris would pardon DT. “I don’t think so, what he has done is so extreme that for the historical record we need to get all these cases tried. We’re going to find out more about this guy than we even imagine.” Pressed on whether some deal could be struck in which he is barred from running for office ever again, Conway came up with the perfect answer. “The only deal I would take is if we eject him into the Oort Cloud. It’s an area of space 200,000 to 300,000 astronomical units away that surrounds the solar system. If you can eject him past the orbit of Pluto, them I’m OK.” Perhaps his buddy Elon Musk can make this happen in one of his rocket ships!!
Conway predicts DT “is not going to go away until his last breath.”
A few weeks ago DT admitted he lost the 2020 election “by a whisker.” Even Nick Fuentes, who Conway described as “DT’s own Nazi,” went ballistic. Conway paraphrased Fuentes: “What was this all for, why did 1,600 of us go to jail? You’re telling us now, you lost? That means, you’re a loser!” The Austin audience chuckled. Conway continued about Fuentes: “He was very upset. There’s a code of honour among sociopaths: the damn fucker couldn’t keep telling the same lie! He had to change his lie! That’s dishonourable! You have to stick to the same lie!” At that the audience went from chuckles to laughter. The thing autocrats fear most is being laughed at.
